Page: 1/3
The stigma of people donating sperm is slowly disappearing. It originates, in general from uninformed public members that frown upon sperm donation. Sperm donors are people that understand the pain behind infertility and the journey to conceive. They are often inspired by either a member of family/friends that experienced problems or have other medical interest.
Sperm donation is promoted in the same light than donating any other part of the human body to assist another that lacks that part. The stigma connected to sperm donation is often linked to the process semen is obtained - masturbation.
If you think a donor do it for the money, think again. It is illegal and against the law (Human Tissue Act) for a person to be paid for sperm donating. Clinics normally pay back any expenses during the process.
The prospective candidate will go through strenuous medical testing to ensure that he is fit for donating of sperm.
