It is always good to have legal representation. When things go wrong or you feel that you or your child, were treated unfair, legal advice and representation can be very costly.
As a same-sex couple, especially if you are planning children (or have children), chances are slightly higher that you may come across bigotry and discrimination. How you handle it and what you do about it - will be up to you.
Example;
Your child was denied education or entry at a certain school/institute due to its parents sexual orientation.
Your family (partner and child) was denied accomodation at a certain hotel/lodge due to your "lifestyle" or was refused a repeat visit.
Your family was treated unfair due to your sexual orientation
The list is endless. Many walk away from above situations not able to do anything about it, but you can change discriminatory behaviour of people/organisations.
What is discrimination?
It is the practice of treating one person or group differently from another in an unfair way.
